Our basic approach
We collect and use information reasonably necessary to operate Marketing-Ad.com, provide business-owner tools, respond to customer requests, verify business legitimacy, maintain service quality, and protect legitimate businesses and users. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
1. Information we may collect
Business and account information
Business owners may provide names, categories, services, descriptions, schedules, addresses, ZIP codes, service areas, websites, phone numbers, email addresses, photos, logos, offers, promotions and other listing information. Account and verification information may also be processed to operate owner access.
Technical and operational information
We may process IP addresses, browser/device information, timestamps, security events, rate-limit data, error information and diagnostic logs when reasonably necessary to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.
2. Public business information
Information a business owner chooses to publish—such as a business name, category, location or service area, public phone number, website, services, hours, photos, offers and promotions—may appear publicly on Marketing-Ad.com. Private account credentials, security information, internal moderation notes and unpublished drafts are not intended to be public.
Business owners are responsible for deciding which business information they submit for public use and for keeping published information accurate and lawful.
3. Customer requests, leads and bookings
When a visitor submits a lead, booking request, contact request, marketing-review request or similar inquiry through Marketing-Ad.com, information supplied in that request may be provided to the applicable participating business so it can respond.
Participating businesses are expected to use customer information only for legitimate purposes connected to the customer's request or business relationship and to comply with applicable privacy, communications and consumer-protection laws.
4. Google Maps Platform and business matching
When an authenticated business owner uses Google Match, Marketing-Ad.com may send the business name, address and ZIP code to Google Maps Platform to help identify the correct business. Google Maps results may be shown temporarily for matching.
Marketing-Ad.com is designed to retain the selected Google Place ID rather than copying Google Maps place content into the permanent business profile. Google processing is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
5. AI assistance
If a business owner chooses an AI-assisted listing, marketing or Creative Director feature, business information currently entered or selected by the owner may be sent to the configured OpenAI API or another clearly identified AI service to generate suggestions for the owner's review.
AI-generated suggestions are drafts. They are not intended to become public solely because they were generated, and business owners remain responsible for reviewing the accuracy and appropriateness of content they choose to publish.
6. Share-link, campaign and referral analytics
Marketing-Ad.com may count visits to business-created share links, campaign activity and business-to-business referral signups so participating businesses and administrators can understand which outreach produces activity.
These analytics are designed to focus on business, campaign and event identifiers rather than building advertising profiles from visitor identities. We may still retain limited security and diagnostic information separately where reasonably necessary to protect the service.
7. Marketing-Ad.com SMS Privacy
When a user voluntarily opts in to receive text messages from Marketing-Ad.com, we use the mobile number, consent record and messaging activity only to provide the customer-care communications the user requested and to maintain messaging compliance.
Mobile information, mobile phone numbers and SMS consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Message frequency varies based on the user's request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. SMS consent is optional unless a specific service clearly states otherwise.
8. Fraud, abuse and platform protection
To protect legitimate businesses, customers and Marketing-Ad.com, we may collect, review and retain information reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, impersonation, spam, harassment, malicious activity, security incidents, repeated policy violations or attempts to evade a suspension or permanent block.
This may include account identifiers, contact information, IP/security logs, moderation history, consent records and records showing why an account, business or user was restricted.
Deletion of a business account does not necessarily require deletion of limited security, fraud-prevention, backup, accounting, dispute or legal-compliance records when retaining them is reasonably necessary and permitted by law.
9. Service providers and connected systems
We may use hosting, email, messaging, backup, security, analytics, payment, AI, mapping or other service providers to operate Marketing-Ad.com and optional connected services. Providers receive information only to the extent reasonably necessary for their role and remain subject to their own legal and contractual obligations.
Optional paid services, including business phone, SMS or AI answering, may be provided through SurfLocal.biz or another clearly identified connected service and may have separate terms or privacy practices.
10. Cookies, sessions and similar technologies
Marketing-Ad.com may use cookies, sessions, local storage or similar technologies that are reasonably necessary for login, security, preferences, forms, analytics, fraud prevention and ordinary service operation.
11. Data retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including account operation, backups, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, auditing and legal compliance.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted availability.
12. Your choices
Business owners may update much of their published business information through available account tools. You may also contact us to request correction or deletion of information associated with your account, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, accounting and backup limitations.
13. Children
Marketing-Ad.com is intended for business owners, business representatives and general community users. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform, connected services or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
15. Contact
Questions, privacy requests and abuse reports may be sent to contact@marketing-ad.com or by calling 806-484-1155.
